As I recall, this was my first Shavette that I have purchased since I started classical wet shaving. I wasn't sure if the razor was as good in real life as it was shown in the picture. When I received it in mail I was gladly surprised. The Shavette had a little weight on it, not so heavy though. Loading the blade was easy and the mechanism works well for securing the blade. The handle fits well in your hand, and doesn't slip, thanks to the design. However, if you really want this razor to last always make sure it's washed thoroughly between the bends and curves. Dry the razor with a tissue and there you go. This will ensure the longivity and efficiency of the razor. It will always look good in your shaving collection. I personally regard this Shavette one of my favorites next to the feather artist club and dovo Shavette. The other shavettes in the market are ok but so light and sometimes their blade holders become loose and less secure. This is a well constructed tool worthy of your attention. Give it a try.
