The brush is a great investment towards a synthetic knot. The Plissoft feature implicates the synthetic brush of the french cosmetic company L' Occettaine with their famous Plisson brush. I used both. I have to say I enjoy the Razor rock version more due to many reasons: 1. The knot on this brush is bigger and tighter, the original Plisson knot was more loose and smaller. Due to this, the brush is able to create face lather much faster, and hold more soap and water. 2. The handle is perfect in the hand, with the ever - ready handle replication, holding this brush is far more superior than the original Plisson which was similar to the known semogue boar brush handles. The brush fits perfectly as you place your fingers to hold, and the experience of lathering is up on another level. 3. Great bowl lathering experience. Unlike the typical brush designs out there, this brush handle was mainly inspired for the sole purpose of bowl lathering. 4. The weight of this brush earns the fifth star. There are many replicas of the original ever ready brush. Not all implicates the weight. When you hold this brush you feel the heft. All in all, if you're willing to get a brush that best replicates the legendary ever ready, look no further. I personally own a number of brushes from different producers of this shape. And I have to admit that the best one is the razorrock. The brush is easy to clean and maintain. I suggest to get a brush handle for this bad boy , so you can hang him upside down after your shave to dry. Enjoy!
